(Winchester, IN) – Roscoe, IL native Austin Nason has filed his entry for the 53rd Winchester 400 presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel.
Nason heads into Winchester sitting 3rd in ASA STARS National Tour points. Nason has come on strong in the second half of the season. In the last 3 races he finished 2nd at Anderson in the Red Bud, 2nd at Owosso in the Michigan 200 and 4th in the Glass City 200 at Toledo. Nason also finished 3rd in the Capital 200 at Madison International Speedway.
It was only a matter of time for Nason to get his 14 machine dialed in and be one of the front runners. Those in the midwest know Nason is one of the region’s top drivers. He’s a former winner of the Joe Shear Classic, Father’s Day 100, Wayne Carter Classic and a two time winner of the National Short Track Championships at the now defunct Rockford Speedway. Look for Nason to finally break through and get his 1st career ASA STARS National Tour win on Sunday October 13th.
The 53rd Winchester 400 is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Winchester (IN) Speedway. The event will serve as race #9 of the ASA Stars National Tour season. The Winchester 400 will be co-sanctioned by the ASA CRA Super Series.
A full weekend of racing is on deck starting Friday with the CRA JEGS All Star Tour 100, Vore Compact Touring Series, Thunder Roadsters as well as New Star races for the CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman. Saturday features Practice and Go Fas Pole Qualifying for the ASA STARS National Tour while the Midwest Modifieds, CRA Street Stocks, CRA Late Model Sportsman and the Crown Vics will all run features. Sunday features a track walk and on track autograph session with the 53rd Winchester 400 set to take the green at 2pm.

ASA STARS National Tour
Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement super-late model stock cars debuted in March 2023 for Super Late Model racing in America.
The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in 7 states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
