ASA Weekend Preview

Despite four full weeks yet remaining until the ASA STARS National Tour “Tar Heel 250” at Hickory Motor Speedway, ASA Branded Tour drivers and race teams are finding plenty to do…

ASA Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco

ASA Southern Super Series competitors will converge on the Gulf Coast this Friday and Saturday for a rare opportunity to race in two events at two different tracks in one weekend.

Pensacola’s Five Flags Speedway and nearby Mobile International Speedway have teamed up for an exciting doubleheader weekend.

Each track will host a 100-lap, $10,000-to-win race on consecutive nights, with Five Flags Speedway hosting on Friday, April 26th and Mobile International Speedway following on Saturday, April 27th. To add even more excitement, Chris Jensen of Family Funeral and Cremation has announced a $5,000 bonus for any driver able to sweep both marquee events.

With a total of $25,000 on the line for the doubleheader sweep, intense competition is expected as the Southern Super Series stars battle door-to-door at two of the most storied short tracks in the Southeast. Fans won’t want to miss this unprecedented doubleheader shootout along the Gulf Coast. Those who cannot make it to the track can watch both events on TrackTV.com.

April is a busy month for the ASA Southern Super Series. With four point’s races already in the books, including two that were combination events with the ASA STARS National tour, the series will reach its halfway point with the Pensacola/Mobile double (6 of 12 scheduled events). For the first time since 2018, the series will run three events in one month.
