ASA Weekend Preview

While the ASA STARS National Tour continues its longest break of the 2024 season, the ASA Midwest Tour will take center stage this weekend, representing the ASA Branded Tours with a spring opener this Sunday

ASA Midwest Tour

The ASA Midwest Tour will open its 18th season on Sunday Afternoon, April 21 at Slinger Super Speedway. The Jerry “Bear” Priesgen Memorial 100 presented by Zuern Building will also serve as the season opening event for the high-banked ¼ mile oval in southeastern Wisconsin.

2023 ASA STARS National Tour Champion Ty Majeski headlines a stellar field of entries for the Midwest Tour season opener. Majeski the five-time ASA Midwest Tour Series Champion has had his share of success at Slinger, having won the track’s marquee event – the Slinger Nationals – three times.

Defending ASA Midwest Tour Champion Gabe Sommers is also entered, as the third generation racer from Plover, WI begins defense of his 2023 Series Championship. Other Midwest Tour Stars scheduled to compete include Justin Mondeik; Levon VanDerGeest and Max Kahler.

The Stars and Cars of the Midwest Tour will be challenged by Slinger Speedway regulars including six-time track champion Steve Apel and Conrad Morgan. Other past Slinger Champs entered include Like Fenhaus; Brad “JJ” Mueller, Jeremy Lepak and Dennis Prunty.

The track will hold an “open practice” on Saturday, April 20. On Sunday, April 21st, the track will open for practice at 10am with qualifying underway at 12:05pm following by an autograph session. Racing will get underway at 2pm.

ASA STARS National Tour

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement super-late model stock cars debuted in March 2023 for Super Late Model racing in America. 

The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in 7 states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
 
Track Enterprises (TE) is a racing Promotions Company based in Illinois, which owns and operates the ASA STARS National Tour. In addition to the STARS National Tour, Track Enterprises owns and operates Championship Racing Association (CRA) and the ASA Midwest Tour.
