Ruggerio Stays Hot in ASA Action

Gio Ruggerio was victorious in his first-ever visit to the historic Salem Speedway on Saturday night. Ruggerio took the lead after a competition caution at the halfway mark and never looked back en-route to his first-career win with the ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. Ruggerio, the most recent winner on the ASA STARS National Tour at Hickory Motor Speedway, led the final 49 laps.

ASA STARS Shine in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

Grant Enfinger inherited the race lead after Ty Majeski and Zane Smith wrecked in the final laps, then held off the field in overtime to win Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway. For Enfinger, competing in a partial ASA STARS National Tour schedule for Go Fas Racing, the St. Louis win is his second in the last five races.

Majeski, the current ASA STARS National Tour points leader, was the polesitter and led 55 laps before the late race run-in with Smith. The crash dropped Majeski to 30th in the final running order. The Wisconsin short track standout entered the weekend second in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Point standings.
Carson Hocevar, also competing in a partial schedule on the ASA STARS National Tour, finished fourth on Saturday.

The ASA STARS National Tour is made up of three races from each of the regional pavement Super Late Model Series under the Track Enterprises banner; the ASA CRA Super Series, the ASA Midwest Tour and the ASA Southern Super Series.

The Team Construction Winner’s Circle program has been announced as a part of the ASA STARS National Tour for licensed drivers/teams with perfect attendance. The program provides additional financial incentives to those teams who support the Series, thanks to Team Construction.

Track Enterprises, a Racing Promotions Company based in Illinois, will operate the ASA STARS National Tour.
