Building on a 2025 season filled with photo-finish battles, rising young talent, and veteran drivers solidifying their legacies, the ASA Midwest Tour is set to launch a landmark 20th Anniversary campaign in 2026. The new season honors two decades of premier Super Late Model competition across the heartland, featuring a balanced mix of historic venues, long-standing fan favorites, and some of the Midwest’s most challenging short tracks.
The 2026 schedule consists of eleven events across five states, beginning in late April and concluding in mid-October. The season opens on Sunday, April 26th, with the return visit to the Slinger Super Speedway in Slinger, Wisconsin. The world-famous high banks serve as a great launching point to get the season headed in the right direction.
From there, the Tour heads to Madison International Speedway on Sunday, May 3rd, for one of the biggest events of the year, the $15,000 to win Joe Shear Classic 200. The action continues in the month of May on Saturday, May 23rd, at Jefferson Speedway, for the annual Salute the Troops 100.
June brings a trek northward to the Norway Speedway in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Saturday, June 6th. Last year marked the return to Norway after a 10 year hiatus. The series then travels to Iowa for a mid-summer showdown at the historic Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Saturday, July 11th. A return trip to Madison International Speedway follows on Friday, July 24th for the Howie Lettow Classic.
The heart of summer brings one of the Midwest Tour’s premier marquee events, the Gandrud Auto Group 250 at Wisconsin International Raceway, held on Tuesday, August 4th in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. The 250-lap classic remains one of the crown jewels of the season and routinely attracts one of the strongest fields of the year.
New in 2026, the Thunderstruck 93 at Elko Speedway will be run on Saturday, August 15th. The Thunderstruck 93 honors former racer Dan Ryan. As the championship chase tightens, the series returns to Dells Raceway Park on Saturday, September 5th for the Jim Sauter Classic. The penultimate race of the season brings the Tour to Illinois’ Grundy County Speedway on Saturday, September 19th for the 65th running of the Bettenhausen Memorial 100.
The 2026 season will conclude at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway on Sunday, October 11th, as part of the 57th Oktoberfest Race Weekend, one of the Midwest’s most storied and well-attended short track traditions. Serving as the final stop of the ASA Midwest Tour’s 20th Anniversary season, the Oktoberfest finale provides a fitting stage for the championship to be decided.
