Syer-Keske Claims ASAMT Rookie of the Year Title

Bryan Syer-Keske capped off his first full season in the ASA Midwest Tour by finishing a career best second in the Oktoberfest 200 at the recent 54th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin.

The Lakeville, Minnesota driver had a spirited battle with with Barrett Polhemus throughout the 2023 season. Only 35 points separated the two drivers going into the season finale, but that quickly came to an end as Polhemus came to pit road on lap 16 and his day ended early with a broken lower control arm.

“Last year, my goal was to win the Futures race at Oktoberfest,” Syer-Keske said after the race on Sunday. “This year, my goal was to be the ASA Midwest Tour Rookie of the Year, and we did that by getting my first podium finish.”

Prior to Oktoberfest, Syer-Keske had 20 starts in the ASAMT with three top-ten finishes.
