(Wisconsin Dells, WI) – Minnesota native Tristan Swanson is entered for the Jim Sauter Classic coming up this Saturday August 31st. Just one year ago Swanson finished 5th in this event. Swanson has found success in 2024 at Dells Raceway Park with a win in the Tundra Super Late Model Series. His success doesn’t end there as he is a former winner at the Dells in CWRA competition back in 2021. 2021 was a successful season for Swanson as he was crowned the Champion of the Midwest Truck Series. Swanson won the title by winning the Falloween 50 and beating series veteran James Swan. In 2019 Swanson won the Legends track championship as well at Dells Raceway Park. While Swanson may be young in age he is poised and knows what it takes to win big races.
About Jim Sauter: Jim Sauter won back-to-back ARTGO Challenge Series Championships in 1981 and 1982. Over the course of his career he recorded twenty ARTGO feature wins and seven ASA National Series wins before heading south where he made seventy-six NASCAR Winston Cup Series starts, recording four top-tens in the process. Over the course of his career, he won some of the biggest short track races of the day including the North Star 500 at the Minnesota State Fair, Rockford’s National Short Track Championship and the All-American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds.
