Kaukauna, WI- Former NASCAR Truck Series Champion Johnny Sauter is entered for the Gandrud Auto Group 250 this Tuesday night August 2nd. Sauter is a two time winner of this event winning in 2010 and 2014. His Father Jim, won this event at WIR in 1982. The Necedah,WI native will be back behind the wheel of his own number 5 car after driving the Shafer Motorsports car for select races earlier on in the season. Sauter’s last win with the Midwest Tour was back in 2020 at Dells Raceway Park when he won the Joe Shear Classic in a thriller over Casey Johnson.
Spectator Gates open at 4pm with qualifying for the ARCA Midwest Tour and Midwest Truck Series beginning at 5pm. A general autograph session is planned for the fastest 16 qualifiers at 6pm. An early start time of 6:30pm for racing has been set for Tuesday night August 2. Adult general admission tickets are $25 and are available online in advance or at the ticket gates on race day.
