Penn Sauter to Run For Rookie of the Year

Third generation racer Penn Sauter is set to run for ASA Midwest Tour Rookie of the Year in 2025. Sauter who is the son of former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Johnny Sauter is also the grandson of former ARTGO Challenge Series Champion Jim Sauter.

Sauter is already starting off his 2025 season on a strong note. This past Saturday at Dells Raceway Park in the Icebreaker 100 the young driver finished 7th against a stout field. Last season he ran in the Late Models with the Big 8 Series. He made 3 starts and finished in the Top 10 in all 3 starts. He finished 10th at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway during Oktoberfest Race Weekend, 9th at Dells Raceway Park and had a career best finish of 4th at Madison International Speedway on Union 464 Night.

The 2025 ASA Midwest Tour features a dynamic schedule across five states, commencing with the Joe Shear Classic 200 on May 4th at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin. Other stops include Jefferson Speedway, Norway Speedway, Hawkeye Downs Speedway, Madison International Speedway, Wisconsin International Raceway, Grundy County Speedway, Dells Raceway Park, Elko Speedway and will once again finish the season at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway as a part of the 56th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend.
