(Oregon, WI) – The ASA Midwest Tour is set to kick off the 2025 season at Madison International Speedway with the 18th running of the Joe Shear Classic presented by Toyota. A stout field of 28 cars with drivers from 5 states and 4 former Joe Shear Classic event winners are set to tackle ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’.
Former Joe Shear Classic winners include Ty Majeski, Casey Johnson, Austin Nason and Andrew Morrissey. Those 4 will be joined by former ASA Midwest Tour Champions Dalton Zehr and two time defending Champion Gabe Sommers.
Other notable entries include 5 time Big 8 Series Champion Michael Bilderback, former Slinger Nationals Champion Luke Fenhaus, Jim Sauter Classic winner Max Kahler, Gandrud Auto Group 250 winner Paul Shafer Jr, Midwest Truck Series Champion Levon Van Der Geest and former Tundra Champions Ty Fredrickson and Riley Stenjem.
Weekly Madison Late Model competitors Brent Edmunds and Will Rece are both entered. Both drivers are multi time winners in weekly Late Model competition.
The Joe Shear Classic presented by Toyota is set for Sunday May 4th. Spectator gates open at 10:30am while practice for the Midwest Tour and Midwest Trucks gets underway at 11:30am with qualifying at 12:45pm and the first race at 2pm.
