Midwest Tour Highlights Howie Lettow Classic at MIS with Spectator Drive-In on August 28

Oregon, WI- The Midwest Tour will return to ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’ on Friday Night August 28, for the Howie Lettow Classic 100.  The Midwest Truck Series and 602 Late Models will join the ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ARCA Midwest Tour for the annual Madison International Speedway event paying tribute to the late Howie Lettow.  After discussions with Public Health Madison and Dane County, it was determined that a drive-in event would allow auto racing to return with spectators at the venue which has not seen racing take place thus far in 2020.

“There has been a lot of effort put into getting racing back at MIS and I am glad that we finally were able to come up with a plan that works for everyone.” Stated MIS and ARCA Midwest Tour owner Gregg McKarns.  “The Howie is hugely popular with our race teams and fans alike and this year’s edition is shaping up to be one that will be talked about for decades to come.”  The track will also host a racing event on Friday August 14 for Weekly NASCAR Late Models, MISfitz and the Midwest Dash Series.

The infield of the half mile paved oval will be reconfigured to allow over 400 infield parking stalls for race fans to enjoy the racing action from their car or truck.  Additionally, a select number of Hilltop VIP parking spaces are available.  Parking passes in both areas are on sale now at https://misracing.com/tickets/ and allows admission for all persons legally seated in the vehicle.  Advance online purchase of parking passes for the Howie Lettow Classic 100 is encouraged and spectators are reminded that they must stay with their vehicle unless going to use the restrooms or visit the concession stand.

Coming off a successful event on Tuesday night at Wisconsin International Raceway, the ARCA Midwest Tour will next visit Grundy County Speedway on Saturday Night August 22 for the rescheduled Wayne Carter Classic in Morris, IL.  For additional information visit midwesttour.racing  Madison International Speedway is located at 1122 Sunrise Road in Oregon, WI.
