Kaukauna, WI- A pair of NASCAR Truck drivers return to their home state and the Midwest Tour as Seymour’s Ty Majeski and Stratford’s Derek Kraus are set to compete at Wisconsin International Raceway this Tuesday night August 2nd during the Gandrud Auto Group 250.
Majeski is a full-time competitor on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season where he has seven top five’s including a second place finish at Kansas Speedway. Majeski is a two-time winner of the Gandrud Auto Group 250 winning in 2020 and 2019. Majeski also has eight feature wins in Red, White and Blue Series competition at WIR. Majeski looks to put his name in the record books as a three-time winner of the event, as he chases the $15,000 top prize. The only past winner to do so was Butch Miller who won in 1985,1986 and 1988.
Derek Kraus looks for his first career Gandrud Auto Group 250 win. Kraus is also a full-time competitor on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Kraus has five top ten finishes this season including a sixth-place finish at Knoxville Raceway. This season in ARCA Midwest Tour competition Kraus has two top five finishes including a 4th place finish at Slinger Speedway and a 3rd place finish at the Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway. Kraus’ career best finish in the Gandrud Auto Group 250 is a sixth-place finish back in 2019. Kraus looks to keep his solid runs going and win his first career Gandrud Auto Group 250.
Spectator Gates open at 4pm with qualifying for the ARCA Midwest Tour and Midwest Truck Series beginning at 5pm. A general autograph session is planned for the fastest 16 qualifiers at 6pm. An early start time of 6:30pm for racing has been set for Tuesday night August 2. Adult general admission tickets are $25 and are available online in advance or at the ticket gates on race day.
