Last Call Returns for Shear Classic at Madison, $1,000 to Winner

Oregon, WI- After a successful debut at last year’s Joe Shear Classic, the ‘Club LaMark/Dave’s White Rock Bar and Grill Last Call’ will once again be part of the Joe Shear Classic being held on Sunday afternoon May 2 at Madison International Speedway. The $1,000 to win, 20 lap Super Late Model race will consist of those drivers not in the main event and will pay $500 to start.

With support from Club LaMark, Madison’s Racing Bar and Dave’s White Rock Bar and Grill, should the ‘Last Call’ winner enter the next ARCA Midwest Tour event, the Salute the Troops 100 at Jefferson Speedway on May 29, they will also win a set of Hoosier Racing Tires. “I thought this was a great idea from the word go. The drivers appreciated it and the fans got some bonus racing. I’m glad that we are doing this again and my hope is that we can add this into more of our shows in the future.” Stated ARCA Midwest Tour’s Gregg McKarns. Bobby Kendall held off a hard charging RJ Braun to win the inaugural Last Call at Dells Raceway Park last September.

The Joe Shear Classic 200 featuring the ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ARCA Midwest Tour will pay $10,000 to win and $1,000 to start the 28 car field at ‘Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile’. The Midwest Truck Series and 602 Late Models will join the Super Late Models for preliminary events and features with racing starting at 2pm on May 2 at Madison International.

Fans are reminded to save money by purchasing their tickets in advance at misracing.com/tickets. Gathering restrictions have been loosened in Dane County, allowing MIS to fully open for this event.
