Hawkeye Downs Speedway Announces the Return of the Miller 100

Celebrating 100 years of racing in 2025, Hawkeye Downs revives the Miller 100 race with the ASA Midwest Tour

(Cedar Rapids, IA) – Hawkeye Downs Speedway is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the iconic Miller 100, a 100-lap ASA Midwest Tour race on Saturday, July 12, 2025. This summer marks the 100th year of racing at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Eastern Iowa.

Hawkeye Downs has hosted the prestigious 100-lap racing event since 1973. With decades of partnership and fundraising efforts, the Fleck family and Iowa Beverage (IBEV) supported the race with sponsorship and lending the Miller name for many years.

“It’s been nearly 20 years since we last used the ‘Miller 100’ name to honor this race,” said Brian Gibson, Hawkeye Downs Race Director. “The nostalgia surrounding this event is powerful, and it’s the perfect way to celebrate our centennial. We’re looking forward to a spectacular future while paying tribute to our past.”

“When Hawkeye Downs approached us, my first reaction was ‘been there, done that,’” shares IBEV Executive Vice President Dudley Fleck. “But when they reminded me that 2025 was Hawkeye Downs’ 100th Anniversary, it made sense to give the Miller 100 another go and work to make it a memorable experience for the fans and racers.”

The 2025 ASA Midwest Tour stop will bring super late models to the track, complemented by additional racing classes that reflect the rich history of Hawkeye Downs.

The centennial celebration of racing in 2025 will honor history over the decades. This includes but is not limited to, special racing events from regional and national racing series, special dirt track events in October, and a jam-packed schedule of exciting entertainment both inside and outside of the race track designed to engage the community and celebrate the history of Hawkeye Downs. The full 2025 racing schedule is now live on the Hawkeye Downs website, with additional events to be announced throughout the year. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and plan to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
