In the third practice session, Fenhaus said that his car got loose going into turn three and damaged the rear end of his car. The team said it was repairable, and started to get it ready for Sunday.

Two-time Midwest Tour champion Casey Johnson was second quick with a time of 29.483 seconds. Johnson is hoping to add a Midwest Tour victory at The Mile. He previously won in the Big 8 Series at America’s Legendary Oval.
