(Wisconsin Dells, WI) – Always a contender when he unloads at Dells Raceway Park John DeAngelis jr. is among the one to watch for the Jim Sauter Classic this Saturday night August 31st at Dells Raceway Park. DeAngelis is a two time winner in the Alive for Five series at the Dells including the 2021 Falloween 150 and in 2022 he won the first 75 lap feature in a twin 75’s format for the Falloween. In his 20 starts with the Alive for Five series he has finished in the top 10 in 13 of those events. DeAngelis will be one to keep our eye on during Saturday’s Jim Sauter Classic.
About Jim Sauter: Jim Sauter won back-to-back ARTGO Challenge Series Championships in 1981 and 1982. Over the course of his career he recorded twenty ARTGO feature wins and seven ASA National Series wins before heading south where he made seventy-six NASCAR Winston Cup Series starts, recording four top-tens in the process. Over the course of his career, he won some of the biggest short track races of the day including the North Star 500 at the Minnesota State Fair, Rockford’s National Short Track Championship and the All-American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds.
