ARCAFest’s Headlining Event; 2nd annual Howie Lettow Memorial 150 is Next

Walker, Michigan (Saturday, July 6, 2013): One of the biggest races of the season in the Midwestern United States is next on the 2013 schedule for Brandon Hermiller and the H.S. Die / VISI-TST Ford Racing Team; the 2nd annual Swiss Colony Howie Lettow Memorial 150 Presented by RaceTeamGear.com on Monday-Tuesday, July 8-9th. This race, which attracted 72 cars in the inaugural race in 2012, is set for Monday-Tuesday, July 8-9th at the historic Milwaukee Mile located west of Milwaukee in West Allis, Wisconsin.

Hermiller isn’t following one particular series or one particular schedule during the 2013 racing season. Already this season, the 20-year-old has made appearance in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS as well as the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the ARCA Midwest Tour Presented By SCAG Power Equipment & Lester BuildingsĀ and even at his home track of Berlin Raceway in the tracks Budweiser Super Late Models Series.

This will be Hermiller’s third appearance with the ARCA Midwest Tour and second trip across the lake to the state of Wisconsin this season. He’s hoping for a much better outcome this time around as he and the team head back to the Cheese State. “Our last race over there (At Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin on May 5th) didn’t go so well, but that’s in the past, a few circumstances were out of hands and we’ve moved on from that.” The Walker, Michigan driver stated.

“I’m really looking forward to racing at the Milwaukee Mile. It’ll be the biggest track I’ve ever raced on and the entry list is stacked with over 80 entries. I think we’ll have something for them guys though. The NASCAR drivers too. Our goal all season long is to get seat time at as many places as possible. It’s the only way to learn and get more competitive each and every time we go out and compete,” Hermiller continued. ”

In Hermiller’s last event(s), the H.S. Die / VISI-TST Ford Racing Team was busy over the June 14-15th weekend at Berlin Raceway located only 10 minutes from the race shop in Marne, Michigan as the Inaugural Battle at Berlin 251 Weekend would see Hermiller do double-duty in Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour on June 14th and the Inaugural Battle at Berlin 251 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series the next night.

In the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race, an accident took him out of the race on lap 69 relegating Hermiller to a 19th place showing while in the ARCA/CRA Super Series event, he fared much better in the extended distance affair as the Walker, Michigan driver came away with an impressive eighth place finish, his career high in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.

“We’re getting better. We’ve got to learn to walk before we can run.” He analyzed after his career high ARCA/CRA run. “It was a busy weekend for sure with running both cars and even though we got involved in a wreck on Friday night, we learned a little bit for Saturday night and it really paid off. To finish in the top 10 with the talent level that was here this weekend, we’re very happy.” He added.
