ASA Midwest Tour Prepares for a Milestone Season

Oregon, WI – The 19th season for the ASA Midwest Tour will get underway on Sunday, May 4th at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, WI with the running of the Joe Shear Classic presented by Toyota. NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin will return to Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile Oval to sign autographs for the fans.

The 2025 season will hit a milestone by hosting its 200th race event, barring any cancellations, will take place on Labor Day weekend with the Jim Sauter Classic at Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

The past 18 seasons of the Midwest Tour has produced some amazing statistics for the well known series.

At the end of the 2024 season, 192 events have been put in the history books competing at 22 different tracks in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

Close to 570 drivers have competed in at least one ASAMT event. Jonathan Eilen, who won the first ever ASAMT event in 2007 at Elko Speedway in Elko, MN, leads the way with 157 starts. Andrew Morrissey is not far behind with 135 starts. Dan Fredrickson has 99 starts with Nathan Haseleu competing in 98 events. Chris Weinkauf has 97 starts.

Nine different drivers have put their name at the top as champions in the Midwest Tour. Ty Majeski leads the way with five titles, followed by Casey Johnson with three championships. Gabe Sommers, Steve Carlson, Dan Fredrickson each have two championships. Dalton Zehr, Jonathan Eilen, Andrew Morrissey and Nathan Haseleu each have one championship.

A total of 52 different drivers have at least one victory in the ASA Midwest Tour, while 58 drivers have at least one fast qualifier award

Majeski, defending 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion, has the most victories with 39. In his 88 starts, the Seymour, Wisconsin driver has won 44% of the ASAMT events has competed in so far in his career. Majeski has 36 fast qualifier awards himself.

The 2025 season has ten events on schedule with events in five different States.

Spectator gates open at 10:30am on Sunday, practice for the Midwest Tour and Midwest Trucks gets underway at 11:30am with qualifying at 12:45pm and the first race at 2pm.
