Thursday, December 19, 2013 – The ARCA Midwest Tour is excited to announce the plans for the 2013 Championship celebration. Both the ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings and the SCAG Midwest Truck Tour Champions will be honored on Saturday, February 1st at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The Rookies of the Year, and several other drivers will also be recognized at the banquet for their achievements during the 2013 season.

Dan Fredrickson earned the title of 2013 ARCA Midwest Tour Champion at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in October and will be honored at the upcoming formal banquet. Midwest Truck Tour Champion Jerry Wood, Rookies of the year James Swan and Natalie Decker will also be among those drivers celebrated.

“The banquet can often be labeled as our biggest event of the year. It’s special,” said Tim Olson, President of the ARCA Midwest Tour.

“It is a time when we can all come together and honor our competitors, their crews, sponsors and families and just enjoy a fun filled evening,” Olson added.

ARCA Midwest Tour Champion Dan Fredrickson will take home $6000 in cash, a free engine lease from B&B Racing engines and over $7000 in contingency awards. Rookie of the Year James Swan, will receive a free engine lease from McGunnegil Racing Engines, a chassis and $2500 in tech support from Pathfinder Chassis, a complete body from Fivestar Race Car Bodies, a $5000 transmission from Roltek Transmissions, as well as contingency prizes, totaling over $35,000.

“The championship banquet in many ways, is the biggest challenge for me, but ultimately the most satisfying. We’ll hand out over $90,000 in cash and prizes this year and that is a statement of how amazing our sponsors are in the Tour. We’ll be honoring the best of the best in short track racing and that will make for an awesome celebration at the Wilderness Resort,” ARCA Midwest Tour VP, Steve Einhaus added.

A pre-event party will also take place at Monks Bar and Grill at the Wilderness Resort on Friday, January 31st. More details about that event will be released at a later date.

All Midwest Tour competitors, crews, family members, and fans are welcome to attend the 2013 banquet weekend. Discount rooms and condos for up to 14 people are available for large groups.
