Wisconsin Dells, WI- The ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ASA Midwest Tour head to Dells Raceway Park this Saturday Night (September 2, 2023) for the $15,555 to Win Jim Sauter Classic presented by Habelman Brothers Cranberries and Don’s Auto Truck Center. Defending race winner and current ASA Midwest Point Leader Gabe Sommers will lead the Midwest Tour contingent against a host of National and Dells Raceway Park Super Late Model standouts. Adding their names into the mix for Saturday night’s big money event are five-time Tour Champion Ty Majeski, ARCA National Winner Luke Fenhaus who has four wins at Dells this season, Wayne Carter Classic winner Paul Shafer, Jr and NASCAR rising star Derek Kraus, a former Tour winner at DRP. Justin Mondeik seeks his second career Midwest Tour triumph while the likes of Levon VanDerGeest, back-to-back Tour runner-up Riley Stenjem, Harley Jankowski and Rookie contenders Bryan Syer-Keske and Texas’ Barrett Polhemus all chase their first Tour victory. 2023 UMA Super Late Champion Max Kahler nearly stole the Tour win last Friday night at Madison and now returns to Dells, joined by local top guns Jesse Bernhagen and five-time weekly winner Mike Lichtfeld as well as Dells Super Late winners Ryan Farrell and John DeAngelis, Jr. The Midwest Truck Series and 602 Outlaw Late Models will join the racing program which starts at 6pm.

About Jim Sauter: Jim Sauter won back-to-back ARTGO Challenge Series Championships in 1981 and 1982. Over the course of his career he recorded twenty ARTGO feature wins and seven ASA National Series wins before heading south where he made seventy-six NASCAR Winston Cup Series starts, recording four top-tens in the process. Over the course of his career, he won some of the biggest short track races of the day including the North Star 500 at the Minnesota State Fair, Rockford’s National Short Track Championship and the All-American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds.
