GLEN ELLYN, IL- Former event winner Trent Snyder has confirmed he will look to qualify for the ARCA Midwest Tour-sanctioned All-Star 100 at Rockford Speedway this Saturday, June 27th.
“I can’t wait to get back to Rockford. We won the All-Star 100 in 2008 and it was one of the biggest moments of my career,” smiles Snyder when asked about the 21st-edition of the star-studded race.
Snyder will enter the 100-lap affair on the strength of a runner-up finish in his most recent start at Anderson Speedway on April 26th.
“It’s a real driver’s track,” explains Snyder about Rockford’s close quarters and tight confines. “You don’t have a lot of room to work and you have even less time to think. It’s tight, it’s short and things have a tendency of happening in a hurry there”
“This is the closest we’ll get to race to home all season long, and it’s right in [Primary Sponsor] Medwest’s backyard. So, there’s definitely a little bit of added motivation to put on a show”
The Illinois veteran etched his name into the history books as an event winner in 2008, when the race was contested as an ASA Late Model-sanctioned event.
“It was an honor to add our name as an event winner in 2008,” says Snyder. “I mean, when you look at the list of drivers that have won the All-Star 100, it looks like a Hall of Fame ballot”
“I haven’t been there since 2011 – so we’ll be looking to make good use of the practice sessions to get our feet underneath us,” admits Snyder.
“I’m confident we’ll be able to find the quick way around, again. It’s my style of track. The best of the best are going to be there, and I think our team can put together a package strong enough to give them a run for their money”
Snyder is expected to be one of the lone former winners in the fields, and stands a chance at joining Midwest legends Joe Shear and Dick Trickle as the lone multi-time winners of the storied Late Model shootout.
“Becoming a two-time winner would be incredible,” says Snyder. “Dick Trickle and Joe Shear are two of the best ever – any time you have a chance to be mentioned in the same breath as them it’s special”
“I remember pulling into victory lane at Rockford when we won this race like it was yesterday,” remembers the personable veteran. “It was an incredible feeling then and, at this stage of my career, I think it would mean even more. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re willing to work as hard as necessary to have a shot at winning it again.”

Spectator Gates open this Saturday night at 5 PM, with Qualifying getting underway at 5:55 PM and the first green flag flying at 7:07 PM. Adult admission for the Late Model Doubleheader is just $20, with Students (ages 12-17) admitted for $10, Children (ages 6-10) are $5, while Kids 5 and under are admitted FREE. Along with a complete show for the ARCA Midwest Tour and the headlining Kar Korner All Star 100, the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models will join the show, contesting their ‘Star Spangled 76’ lap feature event. The Central States Super Cups will also be featured as part of ‘All Star Saturday Night.’
