‘Stars and Cars’ 2022 ARCA Midwest Tour Super Late Model Schedule Released

Oregon, WI- The ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ARCA Midwest Tour will contest a ten race Championship season in 2022 with three races paying $15,000 or more to win. The asphalt Super Late Model sanctioning body will visit ten tracks beginning in May and will crown their Champion in October. Coupled with over $50,000 in point fund, travel incentive and performance bonuses, this will be the richest season yet for Midwest Tour competitors.

The season opening Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway on Sunday afternoon May 1 will pay a record $15,000 to the winner of the 200-lap event and $1,500 to start in the 28-car field. Completing the month of May is the Salute the Troops 100 at Jefferson Speedway on Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday night May 28. Known as ‘Wisconsin’s Action Track’, Jefferson is known for providing unmatched on-track racing excitement with multiple lanes of racing action.

What is quickly becoming a Father’s Day tradition in the upper Midwest, the Tour again visits ‘America’s Legendary Oval’ The Milwaukee Mile on Sunday afternoon June 19. The Father’s Day 100 is again expected to attract top Super Late Model Champions and Challengers from across the nation to Wisconsin State Fair Park to battle the ARCA Midwest Tour’s best.

Grundy County Speedway will host the ARCA Midwest Tour on Saturday night July 9. The Wayne Carter Classic 100 presented by Rod Baker Ford and Illinois Truck and Equipment will play out at the recently updated and repaved fairgrounds facility. The next stop for the ‘Stars and Cars’ will be State Park Speedway on Saturday night July 23 for the Larry Detjens Memorial 125. The Detjens Weekend in Central Wisconsin continues to grow in popularity amongst the Midwest fanbase, make your plans now to attend both days.

The traditional first Tuesday in August will again bring the nation’s best to Wisconsin International Raceway for the Gandrud Auto Group 250. An increased top prize of $15,000 to win the 250-lap race has been set for the Tuesday night August 2 contest. Indiana’s Paul Shafer, Jr bested a field of drivers from nine states in last year’s event.

Beautiful Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, IA will host the ‘Stars and Cars’ on Saturday night August 20th for the Hawkeye 100. The half-mile paved oval boasts state of the art Musco LED Lights while treating fans to the comfort of their historic covered grandstands. Closing out a busy month of August will be the Howie Lettow Classic 100 on Friday night August 26. The second visit to MIS in 2022 will award $5,000 to the winner as well as a $5,000 bonus if a driver is able to be victorious in both the Joe Shear Classic and Howie Lettow Classic.

Dells Raceway Park will again host the Jim Sauter Classic 200 during Labor Day Weekend on Saturday Night September 3. The Jim Sauter Classic pays tribute to the Midwest short track racing legend and will pay a Tour high $15,555 to the winner thanks to Don’s Auto Truck Center and Habelman Brothers Company.

The ARCA Midwest Tour will crown its Champion for the sixteenth time on Sunday afternoon October 9 during the 53rd Oktoberfest Race Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. The annual Oktoberfest 200 for the ARCA Midwest Tour ‘Stars and Cars’ will highlight the four-day racing festival amongst the fall foliage in western Wisconsin.

For the third consecutive year, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway has invited the Midwest Tour to be part of the All American 400 weekend October 28-30, which will be co-sanctioned by multiple regional Super Late Model touring groups. Nashville will be a non-points event for the Tour.
