PepperJack Kennels Adds Bonus for Lap 93 Leader at Thunderstruck 93

Elko, MN – Officials from the ASA Midwest Tour are excited to announce that PepperJack Kennels has signed on as the official sponsor of Lap 93 during this Saturday night’s running of the Thunderstruck 93 at Elko Speedway. The 125-lap Super Late Model feature will once again honor the memory of Minnesota short track racer Dan Ryan Sr. #93, with the lap sponsorship providing an added incentive for drivers battling at the front of the field.

The driver leading at the completion of Lap 93 will collect a $939 bonus courtesy of PepperJack Kennels, a longtime supporter of short track and national motorsports. The Wisconsin based company is best known for its world-class Labrador retrievers and championship-caliber training programs, and in recent years has become a recognized name across the racing industry.

About Dan Ryan, Sr.: The 125-lap race will honor Elko Speedway Hall of Famer “Thunder” Dan Ryan Sr., who passed away in 2009 after a three-year battle with ALS. Dan was a former racer who became a leader amongst the competitors in the pit area and tutored many young drivers as they worked their way through the racing ranks. The name of the event is named after Ryan’s favorite song, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. There will be a ten-minute break on lap 93 of the ASA Midwest Tour race to honor him.
