Kaukauna, WI – Erik Jones, driver of the #43 for Legacy Motor Club in the NASCAR Cup Series, will make his second visit to Wisconsin International Raceway near Kaukauna, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, August 5th, to compete in the ASA Midwest Tour’s Gandrud Auto Group 250.
This will be the fifth start in the ASA Midwest Tour for the Byron, Michigan, driver. He previously competed in three events at the Milwaukee Mile, that includes a victory in the Howie Lettow Memorial 150 on June 8, 2014.
His last appearance in the ASA Midwest Tour was at the Gandrud Auto Group 250 in 2022, where he finished 22nd.
Jones began his driving career at the age of 13. At the age of 14, he became the youngest winner to win a feature event at the famous Oktoberfest Race Weekend at the La Crosse Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin. He won the JEG’S CRA All-Star Tour championship in 2011 at the age of 15.
He is a two-time winner of the Snowball Derby. He won his first Derby by a late pass by his future NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner, Kyle Busch, at the 2012 event. He defended his victory in 2013 after a Chase Elliott disqualification. He is also a three-time winner of the Winchester 400.
Jones is the only driver to win the Rookie of the Year title in each of the top three NASCAR series. He took the honors in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2015, the Xfinity Series in 2016, and in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2017. He was also the champion in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2015.
He has three victories in the Cup Series, including a victory in the Coke 400 at Daytona International Speedway and a two-time winner of the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
Tuesday, August 5th Racing Divisions: The ASA Midwest Tour Super Late Models will be joined Tuesday Night by the Midwest Truck Series.
