by Kari Shear-Carlson / May, 9, 2016 – In 2015 Ty Majeski and Tim Sauter brought the fans to their feet in the ARCA Midwest Tour presented by Scag Power Equipment Cabin Fever 100 at State Park Speedway in Wausau, WI. The two traded paint and a few “favors” for the final 13 laps of the event with Majeski finally gaining the edge when they crossed the finish line.
The two will return to the track this Saturday, May14th for the 2016 Cabin Fever 100 joined by a strong field of entries, including several local favorites, such as MG Gajewski and Mark Mackesy, a multiple time track champion, and the driver to win the first ever Midwest Tour event at the venue in 2011.
In addition, many ARCA Midwest Touring Stars will be racing in front of their hometown crowd, like Chris and Jason Weinkauf who will each be in search of a second Midwest Tour victory and first at their home track. Natalie Decker, who has been in victory lane several times at the track, and Rookie of Year contender, Derek Kraus will also be fighting for a strong finish on their local turf.
With almost 30 of the top touring and local drivers already entered for this Saturday night’s event, it is sure to be another nail-biter you won’t want to miss. Qualifying begins at 4:00pm followed by an autograph session at 5:00pm. Racing begins at 6:00pm.
