Officials with the ARCA Midwest Tour along with Interstate Batteries and “The Racing Round Up Show” are proud to announce the “Interstate Batteries Pole Award” for the Dixieland 250 presented by SCAG Power Equipment on Tuesday, August 7th at the Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
The fast qualifier will receive a special pole award of $500.
Interstate Batteries is a great partner to the “The Racing Round Up Show” hosted weekly by veteran Wisconsin motorsports broadcaster Jim Tretow.
Tretow will host a live radio remote of “The Racing Round Up Show” at the fan entry gates beginning at 6:00pm on Tuesday at WIR. The show will feature Dean Strom interviewing drivers, with timely event updates throughout the special 45-minute live program. The show will be carried live in Wisconsin’s two largest markets on The Big 920 (WOKY-AM, Milwaukee) and on The Big 1070 (WTSO-AM, Madison). The broadcast will also be streamed live on the show’s website, www.racingroundup.net.
“We are thrilled that our great show partner Interstate Batteries is increasing their support of Wisconsin short track racing by sponsoring this special live broadcast AND is awarding $500 directly to the Dixieland 250 fast qualifier,” exclaimed Tretow.
“The Racing Round Up Show” is in its 34th season covering the Wisconsin racing scene and the world of Motorsports.
Two Interstate Batteries distributors are proud to support this great short track event.
“On behalf of Interstate Batteries, it’s network of over 200,000 dealers, and the combined efforts of the Appleton and Milwaukee based Interstate Batteries Distributors, we are excited to be a part of this prestigious event at WIR, support the ARCA Midwest Tour and it’s tremendous fans, our continued support of ‘The Racing Round Up Show’ and to award the Interstate Batteries Pole Award to the 2018 Dixieland 250 fast qualifier,” said Greg Koltek, Vice President of Southeast Wisconsin Interstate Batteries.
ARCA Midwest Tour Promoter Gregg McKarns is thrilled to have the long running radio show and Interstate Batteries as part of this year’s event.
“I would like to thank Interstate Batteries and Jim Tretow for their support of the Dixieland 250 presented by SCAG Power Equipment,” McKarns said. “This race has a great tradition going back to when my father promoted this event during the ARTGO days, and our family is excited to promote another great event with the support of Interstate Batteries, ‘The Racing Round Up Show’, our drivers, teams, officials, and most of all our fans. See you Tuesday, August 7th.”
