Jefferson, WI- His only showing at Jefferson Speedway came as a young teenager, driving in the Midwest Truck Series and Luke Fenhaus raced to a sixth place effort. Now 17 years of age, much has changed in the career path of the Wausau driver, who is part of the Kulwicki Driver Development Program and one of the up and coming drivers of the Super Late Model ranks. Fenhaus, who won the Icebreaker event at Dells Raceway Park in April and nearly nabbed the Joe Shear Classic win at Madison earlier this month has entered this Saturday’s ARCA Midwest Tour ‘Salute the Troops 100’ at ‘Wisconsin’s Action Track’.
Fenhaus put the Super Late Model contingent on notice last July, leading and eventually finishing third in the Slinger Nationals after having led early at Oktoberfest in 2018. Now with a big win under his belt to back up his strong showings, the 2018 State Park Speedway Champion has added chasing the ARCA Midwest Tour to his 2021 schedule which is also set for a full campaign at Slinger Super Speedway.
Joining the ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ARCA Midwest Tour will be the Hobby Stocks and Bandit Spectacular. Spectator gates open at 3pm, qualifying is slated for 5:30pm with the first race at 7pm. Adult general admission tickets are $20, Seniors, Military and Students are $15, Kids ages 8-11 are $7 with ages under 8 admitted free.
All active and retired military will again be invited onto the track prior to the ‘Salute the Troops 100’ for driver introductions and to give the command to start the engines.
