The ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings welcomes COMP Cams on board to help power the cars of the Tour. Comp Cams involvement will be a multi-faceted effort.

Dan Hodgdon explains about how the relationship came about.

“The ARCA Midwest Tour is one of the premier paved super late model sanctioning bodies in the country,” said Hodgdon. “COMP Cams is thrilled to be a part of the series and get to have a presence at historic tracks like the Milwaukee Mile, Grundy County Speedway, Elko Speedway and others, and to be on the cars that race there. The Midwest has some of the nation’s most knowledgeable racing people and we’re happy to have our name mentioned as part of that group.”

“What’s more, the ARCA Midwest Tour’s open engine rule fits nicely with our overall business strategy,” continued Hodgdon. “One of our core goals here is to provide performance valve train parts for powerful racing engines. We’re very proud that so many ARCA Midwest Tour engines feature COMP Cams components. We believe that this partnership is mutually beneficial both for us and for the talented racers and engine builders on the tour.”

The drivers and race teams will benefit from this relationship in a variety of ways.

“COMP Cams serves as a contingency sponsor for the ARCA Midwest Tour and Midwest Truck Tour,” said Hodgdon. “We provide five $50 product certificates for each class per event, and five $250 product certificates for each class at the yearend banquet. We do this both to reward the teams for their accomplishments and hope that it creates lasting relationships between them and the staff here at COMP. In addition, COMP Cams decals can be found on every car, and banners and other promotional material will be at each track on the tour.”

COMP Cams has camshafts, lifters, rocker arms, valve springs, pushrods and other valve train components and accessories for a wide range of classes and divisions. Each part is built by the industry’s largest and most experienced team of engineers using state-of-the art equipment, and all are backed by a knowledgeable technical support staff. They can offer anything from off-the-shelf options to completely customized valve train packages for a track or series. Many people within their company are current or former racers, so they like to think that they can relate to all of the various needs of race teams.

ARCA Midwest Tour Vice President Steve Einhaus knows the value of a company like COMP Cams.

“COMP is a great company and they have been a big part of our series since day one providing a great product for our competitors,” stated Einhaus. “We are very proud of our focus on manufactured parts for built engines while protecting all of our engine builders that are so vital to keeping our competitors going fast. We appreciate their input and ideas to help us also as we work together to build our relationship over the years.”
