Bryce Miller to Welcome Special Guests to the Miller 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway

By: Kevin Ramsell
Cedar Rapids, IA – Even though he lives three hours away, Bryce Miller could almost consider Hawkeye Downs Speedway as a home track. The 2025 ASA Midwest Tour rookie of the year contender hopes for continued success this Saturday night.

The driver from Columbus, Wisconsin will return to the famous half-mile oval and will have some additional fans cheering for him in Saturday’s ASA Midwest Tour’s Miller 100 presented by Van Meter.

“Back in May, I had the chance to visit a local elementary school, Kenwood Leadership Academy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa,” Miller announced. “On Saturday, on behalf of Smokey Hollow Campground and Bryce Miller Motorsports, we will be sponsoring free tickets to Saturday’s race for some of the students and their families.”

Not only will Miller have the extra fan support, but he brings a successful record at Hawkeye Downs that he hopes can take him to victory lane.

“I am really looking forward to getting back to a track where we’ve had success in the past,” Miller said. “I am excited to return with our super late model now that we’ve built up our notebook and are ready to build on what we have learned this weekend.”

That success includes something that wasn’t really in the early season plans in 2023.

“I was fortunate to come away with four wins and the championship in the late models there in 2023,” Miller said with a smile. “Honestly, it was only supposed to be a one-race deal, but after the second week, we looked at the schedule and realized it lined up well with our truck series races, so we decided to chase the championship. It was a big commitment with a six-hour round trip on a Friday night for my family, but it definitely paid off in the end. It’s an amazing facility that puts on great racing.”

Last year, Miller competed in the ASA Midwest Tour event at Hawkeye Downs and came home with a ninth-place finish in the 100-lap main event and a heat race victory.
