Marshfield Motor Speedway in Marshfield, Wisconsin will welcome the ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment this Saturday night for the Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial 100, the fourth event on the 2017 schedule.
Coming into Saturday night’s event, defending three-time Tour Champion Ty Majeski holds a 52-point lead over Dalton Zehr in the standings. Zehr is the defending track champion at Marshfield and hope that he can cut into that deficit and stop Majeski’s two-win streak in the tour.
Majeski will be coming in from Pocono, Pennsylvania after he competes in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards event on Friday at Pocono Raceway.
Andrew Morrissey is currently third in the standings, only 64 points behind Majeski. Jonathan Eilen is fourth, only 74 points back and Travis Dassow rounds out the top five in the standings, only 77 points back.
The top-11 in points are within 100 points of the leader and we could see some positions shuffle within the top-ten after Saturday night.
There is one interesting note going into the Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial on Saturday night. This will be the eighth event contest at the half-mile oval and so far, there has been seven different winners.
Tim Schendel won the first event on September 7, 2008, Chris Wimmer won on August 21, 2010, Jason Weinkauf on July 2, 2011, Jonathan Eilen on June 30, 2012, Skylar Holzhausen on June 29, 2013, Steve Holzhausen on August 31, 2013, and Ty Majeski on August 13, 2016.
