Dec 7, 2012 – The ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings is proud to unveil its schedule for the highly anticipated 2013 season. This schedule has been carefully crafted to increase the accessibility to fans, to decrease the amount of travel time for competitors, and to advance the level of high-stakes intense racing by adding new tracks and new events.

“We are beyond excited and honored to be a part of the ARCA Racing Series family. We look forward to growing together. Building an alliance with the ARCA CRA Super Series is something that has never been done before between two divisions and we look forward to building the future of short track racing together,” said ARCAMT President, Tim Olson.

The series will launch its inaugural season under the ARCA banner with a history-making event at Toledo Speedway on Friday April 19th and Saturday April 20th. This race weekend marks not only the first time that the series will compete at the track, but also the first time that the ARCA Midwest Tour and the ARCA CRA Super Series will be competing at the same track at the same event.

This double-header is sure to be a thrilling show of door-to-door racing action as two of the biggest series in the country partner to bring not one but two exciting races. All ARCA Midwest Tour Touring Stars will be awarded a special bonus for competing in this ground-breaking 150 lap event.

Madison International Speedway is the second stop on the circuit. The Joe Shear Classic is the first of two events to be run at MIS. The second event, scheduled for August 11th, will be the second double-header with the ARCA Midwest Tour and the ARCA CRA Super Series.

Returning for the 2013 season will be events at The Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, WI, Norway Speedway in Norway, MI, Elko Speedway in Elko, MN, State Park Speedway in Wausau, WI, Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL and Marshfield Motor Speedway in Marshfield, WI.

The 2012 Howie Lettow Memorial 150 at The Milwaukee Mile was one of the largest events in the history of the ARCA Midwest Tour with over 70 entries and 42 starting the event, including NASCAR stars Rusty Wallace, Matt Kenseth, Johnny Sauter, Aric Almirola, David Stremme and David Ragan.

The second-annual running of the event honoring legendary crew chief Howie Lettow is setting up to be just as big, as Travis Sauter will not only have to contest other ARCA Midwest Tour stars, but will also have to take down some NASCAR lead-foots. Many NASCAR stars have shown interest in competing and more information will continue to develop over the coming months.

Reigning 2012 series champion Jonathan Eilen will have two opportunities to defend his previous victory at Marshfield Motor Speedway. The ARCA Midwest tour roars into Marshfield for two 100-lap events on Saturday June 29th and Saturday August 31st.

The competitors of the ARCA Midwest Tour will make their return to Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells, WI on Saturday, June 8th after a two-year hiatus. Also added to the 2013 season will be the 150-lap inaugural event at Veterans Raceway Park. Veterans Raceway Park is a 3/8 mile oval located in the hills of Tomah, WI.

Oktoberfest weekend at the LaCrosse Fairgrouds Speedway takes its traditional place on the schedule, closing out the 2013 season. The culmination of a whole year’s worth of work is celebrated, as the 2013 ARCA Midwest Tour Champion will be crowned on the final day of the historic four-day Oktoberfest weekend. The ARCA Midwest tour will be one of 19 divisions competing throughout the Oktoberfest race weekend.
